About Julia Casson
Julia Casson is an independent consultant with over twenty years in-house experience as a company secretary in major international plcs, most recently as company secretary of Pearson plc.
With considerable expertise in the manufacturing, service and media sectors Julia has a strong company secretarial and legal grounding supported by a diverse background of corporate project management and regulatory compliance, both in the UK and overseas. She has carried out independent work with companies such as Lloyds TSB Registrars, Computershare, ICSA, Independent Audit (working with them on board effectiveness reviews of a number of FTSE100 plcs), Good Corporation and Willis. She is EU Policy Adviser to the ICSA.
Julia Casson is a Fellow of and an adviser to the ICSA and is a writer in professional journals and conference speaker. She is leadership and governance adviser to the Council for Industry and Higher Education, a member of the Advisory Board of the Higher Education National Mentoring Scheme and a member of Council of the University of Kent. She is fluent in French and Russian.
